VMIAC invites you to attend a special General Meeting (SGM) on 6 November.

The reason for calling this SGM is for members to consider several changes to the VMIAC Rules.

The VMIAC Committee of Management considers these changes essential to the smooth running of VMIAC.

Members must first give their approval to make any change to the constitution.

Proposed changes to rules

A summary of the proposed rule changes can be found here

Consultation

VMIAC has consulted with members about the proposed changes to VMIAC’s rules.

The consultations were intended to explain the changes and assess the level of support for the proposed changes.

Two independent consultants, Sam Brhaspati Stott and Sonia Law, conducted the consultations.

Sam is a consumer with lived experience and expertise, skilled in facilitation, co-design, and adult education.

Sonia is a lawyer with experience in mental health, disability and government law and as a non-executive director in the community mental health sector.
