What is the Consumer Perspective Supervision course?

The Consumer Perspective Supervision (CPS) course provides training in discipline-specific supervision (as distinct from line management or clinical supervision), by and for the consumer/peer/lived/living experience workforce, working in Victoria. The training aims to build discipline-specific Consumer Perspective Supervision capability and capacity in Victoria, to build capacity to provide CPS to the consumer/peer workforce.

The course is run by inside out and associates Australia.  

This course is fully funded and is free.

Expressions of Interest (EOIs) will be reviewed by a panel of consumers with backgrounds in consumer lived experience leadership.

In 2024 there will be two courses offered, both starting in September. These include two days of face-to-face training in Melbourne, followed by online training for two hours a week, finishing in the first week of December.  Additional learning supports are provided.

Consumer/peer/lived and living experience workers, who are working in a Victorian state funded mental health service or program are encouraged to apply.
